Welcome to elfwood. This blog is dedicated to two seemingly unrelated things – software engineering and LARP – live advanced roleplay games. Why? Because those two things I think I have something relevant and may be even interesting to say about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once upon a time , in the previous millennia, my friend told me about LARP games, I participated in my first game “Apocalypses 1917”.. And I found those games very interesting, even exciting. Like tourist travel to other countries, those playing RPG travel to worlds created by our collective imagination, perhaps inspired by by some book, movie, or just created by imagination of game master..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We got a team named “Elvish archers” and me and Bersa created our command site.. Bersa was a very talented person, painter, author, and much much more… The site hosted art works and texts related to LARP. Other role-players contributed to the site too. Today, one can visit the restored site at https:\/\/elfwood.org\/elf-web\/<\/a>. After a while it became obvious to me that community needs some site where people could discuss upcoming games, game masters could present new games to community, participants could write their impressions and stories from the games etc. So we created another site ( hosted at kulichki.com), and it was a centre of community’s online activity in nineties of 20 century till 10th of 21 … Because of some hosting issues entire site was lost, I was able to restore parts of the site from internet archive and re-created it at https:\/\/elfwood.org\/roleplay_kulichki<\/a> . I feel it can be some kind of online museum of LARP movement in Israel for that period. From time to time, when I get some new items ( like photos from the games) I update it… If someone has some items to share on the games from that time, I’ll appreciate the opportunity to post it on the site <\/p>\n\n\n\n Another topic of this blog is computer programming.. I’m a software engineer. In order to be good programmer , one have to learn new things constantly and explore new things .
